“Investing for Employment” launches an Expression of Interest in Ghana focusing on digitalisation

KfW, a German Development Bank has created the Investing for Employment (IFE) mechanism to help enhance employment through digitalization. IFE provides subsidies to long-term investment initiatives that have a high potential for job development. IFE plans to conduct a call for proposals in Ghana with a focus on digitisation. As the primary consultants for the projects, GP Business Consulting is assisting in the advancement of this endeavour.

On 5 November 2021, KfW, with the support of GP Business Consulting, hosted a Roundtable Discussion on digitization at Villa Monticello in Accra. The informal event brought together significant participants from Ghana’s digital realm, both public and private. Accra Digital Centre, Blue Space Africa, Atunwa Digital, National Distance and Online School, Ghana Tech Lab, Info-Tech Systems Limited, Kosmos Innovation Center, Innohub, and IT Consortium were among them.

The discussion was moderated by Arndt Wierheim, KfW Country Director for Ghana, with assistance from Nicholas Frimpong Manso, Managing Director of GP Business Consulting.

The purpose of the roundtable was to assess the market’s feasibility for such an investment as well as to learn about the demands of local tech companies
