Presentation of IFE Grant facility to Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Workshop for Ghanaian Members of Parliament

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung organized a workshop for fifteen (15) members of the Ghanaian Parliament at the Accra City Hotel in Accra, Ghana.

At the two – hour workshop, the KfW’s Investing for Employment (IFE) GmbH was given the opportunity to introduce its grant facility and the upcoming Call for Proposals to the MPs who may be interested to apply with concrete projects.

Also highlighted during the presentation was that the IFE awards co-financing grants ranging from €1 million to €10 million per project through a competitive application process under four project categories: public infrastructure for job creation; common service for job creation; for-profit projects with broader job creation impact; and for-profit projects for job creation. Mr. Nicholas Frimpong-Manso, KfW Focal Point for the Special Initiative on Training and Job Creation (SI Jobs) for Ghana, also answered questions posed by the MPs regarding the grant facility.

Overall, the MPs were generally interested in the facility, which they believed would go long way to support job creation in their constituencies.
